“Everyday Explorations” Campaign
In this multi-channel champaign to inspire an classic sense of adventure at home., I conceived of a pitch to Ford and their agencies BBDO and Wieden+Kennedy that was based around the spirit of mythic American “pioneers.” We let that aesthetic steer our approach to exploring new corners of modern cities in the US as if they were truly freshly charted territory.
Lifting stylistic elements from hundred-year-old maps and nautical charts, my team worked with a renowned film industry illustrator to create immersive branded city guides. These maps were handpained as murals in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Atlanta, LA and Boston, and were incorporated into digital designs across the campaign, including online articles, a full campaign landing page, and social.
To cap it off, I supervised video shoots across the country designed to bring these experiences to life – things like old Mexican-American street vendors in LA, hidden antique booksellers in Boston, and yoga in an industrial park in Brooklyn. These videos lived on a custom microsite and along further custom influencer content on our social channels.
