Laetro
I was brought into the Laetro team early in the company’s development to help establish operations with a budding freelance community being built to help marketing clients with illustration and editing needs.
Times changed quickly as I helped win the studio’s first enterprise client (SailPoint) and went on to grow the creative workforce into a full-fledged marketing force. We were soon able to mobilize not just illustrators and animators but strategists, web designers, motion graphics, campaign leads, and video production teams quickly and at scale.
Leaning into all areas of the creative business, from resource management to creative oversight, account work, video pre-production, pitch meetings, and even internal branding, my role at Laetro was a little bit of everything. With the help of creatives logging into work from all over the world, our agency stayed successful and profitable throughout the Covid era and the AI boom, growing quartlery revenue by 8x between 2021 and 2025 and spreading work out across about 150 different creatives.
Like many others, Laetro grew to focus many of its development efforts on AI creation and operations, but I like to think that my expereince there proved that there’s no match for a well-run team of hardworking and visionary human artists and thinkers working together.
